Treat Your Puppy Right with Puppy Dog Food
Just like you wouldn’t feed your four month old baby adult food, you shouldn’t feed your puppy regular dog food. Puppies are still growing and they need many nutrients found in puppy food that will help them to develop. Puppy dog food isn’t just a made-up idea – it provides your growing dog with the nutrients that he needs to stay active and feisty during the day – and to keep growing as he should. If you prefer, you certainly may want to look into organic dog food or natural dog food for your puppy, but most puppy dog food products supply sufficient nutrients to keep puppies doing well.
It’s important to keep a few feeding tips in mind while giving your puppy his puppy dog food. Young puppies should be offered food three times a day until about ten to twelve weeks of age, when they should have food twice a day. Don’t leave the food on the ground for them; simply put it down and pick it up after about fifteen minutes. If dogs have food at their disposal all day, they are more likely to overeat and become chubby.
Have fun with your puppy and treat him right with puppy dog food!
